Where & When
Sat 25 Feb, 12:00PM, Ellen Melville Centre
A panel discussion exploring biography and storytelling.
Our stories are tāonga. We make choices everyday around how we tell our story, what parts we shout and what parts we whisper. We tell the stories of others, and we tell our own. There is plenty of grey space in the biography genre that’s ripe for discussion – for instance, who owns your story when it’s out in the world? What about the story of those that feature in an autobiography? How do we advocate for ourselves, but still leave enough space for different perspectives to shine?
Join our chair and renowned biographer Joanne Drayton, acclaimed author Paul Diamond and poets Oscar Upperton and essa may ranapiri as they chat about all things biographical and other crucial life-writing questions.
