Where & When
Mon 20 Feb, 6:00PM, Ellen Melville Centre
In 2022, the Sex and Prevention of Transmission Study (SPOTS) became the biggest survey of men who have sex with men (and people who have sex with MSM) in Aotearoa New Zealand history. Initial findings are now ready to share with our communities.
SPOTS aims to make a difference. SPOTS data will guide the work of organisations like the New Zealand Blood Service, Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, Body Positive and Te Whāriki Takapou. It’s already informing government policy around PrEP and Monkeypox (mpox). It’s crucial that our communities have a chance to share the first findings of this mahi, including what our communities think about blood donation, sexual health, and contemporary HIV and STI prevention strategies in the age of PrEP, condoms and U=U.
This seminar will run themed presentations from 6pm for one hour with discussion and questions after. Food and refreshments will be provided.
The event will be held in the Pioneer Women's Hall, level 2 of the Ellen Melville Centre. Doors will be opened from 5:45pm and the event will start at 6pm.
