A compilation of collaborative digital works by Tanu Gago and members of FAFSWAG Arts Collective.

F.O.L.A [AKL] invites FAFSWAG founder Tanu Gago to join our curatorial team in 2023 to present a selection of his favourite digital works, projected at scale onto surrounding buildings of the festival garden during sunset hours.

Adopting cultural motifs into a digital canvas, Diaspora Rendered holds a critical perspective of what it can mean to participate in a growing displaced population of Moana dreamers, as a compilation of digital moving image works. Some were originally commissioned by CIRCUIT Artist Moving Image Aotearoa New Zealand, as well as a newly commissioned work of the same name for F.O.L.A [AKL] 2023.

These works include, Savage In The Garden 2019 with Hohua Ropate Kurene, Tulouna Le Lagi 2022 with Pati Tyrell, Coven Aucoin - This Is Glamour 2022 - with members of Aotearoa Ballroom, House of Coven Aucoin and Stellar Pritchard, and Diaspora Rendered, created with FAFSWAG Arts Collective.
