Kiriana Sheree

Kiriana (Tūhoe, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Porou)

Is an emerging takatāpui artist. She has trained maninirau (circus) with the University Of Auckland, The Dust Palace, React Studio and has also done specialist workshops under tutors from Cirque Du Soleil.

Since 2020, Kiriana has worked in various roles as circus director, performer, teacher and producer, with a range of companies, 

Most recently including The Dust Palace & Ngā Rangatahi Toa. Kiriana is also an actress, and is currently part of the Auckland Theatre Company’s youth company. 

Kiriana instinctually navigates through spaces wearing a decolonial lense first. She works for, and with, marginalised communities often using circus and theatre to showcase the nuances and uniqueness each community is capable of.
